Makromor s.c. Cathodic Protection company launched its activities in the Polish market in 1995. The range of our activities includes manufacturing of sacrificial anodes, that prevent corrosion of metal structures in hydrotechnical environment. Our products are used for cathodic protection of vessels, docks, port quays, offshore constructions, subsea pipelines and other hydrotechnical constructions. We offer high quality products, what has been proven by a growing interest both on Polish and foreign markets. We have gained recognition of leading Polish shipyards and foreign clients.
Everyday we make efforts to make our products competitive in respect to their quality and price. Our principle is that only the clients satisfaction matters. Your satisfaction is our success. Thus, in order to meet your needs and expectations we are introducing new products and do non-standard custom designs (according to client's guidelines).
Cathodic protection
Cathodic protection is the most effective method of fighting against corrosion of industrial metal and ferroconcrete constructions, that come in touch with soil, natural waters and which conduct electricity. The above mentioned technology is applied, among others, for wharves, piers, docks, vessels, gas pipelines, heat pipelines, metal tanks, sewage treatment plant elements, chemical apparatus and heat exchangers.
Cathodic protection consists in change in the structure potential by creating a galvanic cell, that is attaching a so-called galvanic anode, made of alloy of a more negative potential than the potential of the structure protected (protection process) or by applying an external source of direct current and an auxiliary anode (protection with the use of cathodic station). In both cases, the anode reaction is transferred from the structure protected onto the sacrificial anode surface or the auxiliary anode.
